Johnson Goes Underwater

aquaman_teaser_textlessAccording to The Hollywood Reporter, screenwriter David Leslie Johnson has been hired for Warner Bros.’ big-screen Aquaman movie. Interestingly, the screenwriter is already working with the film’s director James Wan on his current project, The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist.

David Leslie Johnson broke into the film industry as an assistant to director Frank Darabont beginning with the acclaimed Shawshank Redemption. He has written numerous screenplays, including Wrath of the Titans, Red Riding Hood and Orphan. He also wrote for the second season of The Walking Dead.

There’s no word on the status of the scripts written by Will Beall and Kurt Johnstad, who were hired in 2014 to write Aquaman.

Aquaman is scheduled for release on 27 July, 2018.
