Gendry And Grey Worm Speak
Game Of Thrones is back for its eighth season and here’s Jacob Anderson and Joe Dempsie at the BFI chatting about the new season and more…
Game of Thrones is quite possibly one of the biggest TV shows of all time and features some of the UK’s greatest actors. As the show begins its much anticipated final season on HBO and Sky Atlantic, we celebrate what has come before it in this special event hosted by Thronecast’s Jamie East in the company of two of the actors who have been on the journey and lived to tell the tale (thus far) – Joe Dempsie (Gendry) and Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm).
Here’s what wikipedia had to say about the eighth and final season:
The eighth and final season of the fantasy drama television series Game of Thrones was announced by HBO in July 2016. Unlike the first six seasons that each had ten episodes and the seventh that had seven episodes, the eighth season will have only six episodes. Like the previous season, it will largely consist of original content not found currently in George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series, and will also adapt material Martin has revealed to showrunners about the upcoming novels in the series, The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring.
The season will be adapted for television by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. Filming officially began on 23 October 2017, and concluded in July 2018. The season premiered on 14 April 2019.
