This is what wikipedia had to say about it: Dunkirk is an upcoming 2017 American war film written, co-produced and directed by Christopher Nolan. The story is set in World War II and centres around the Dunkirk evacuation. Filming began on 23 May 2016 in Dunkirk, France, and was shot on IMAX 65 mm and 65 mm large format film stock by cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema.

Allied soldiers from Belgium, the British Empire, Canada and France are surrounded by the German army and evacuated during a fierce battle in World War II. Stars Aneurin Barnard, Kenneth Branagh, James D’Arcy, Tom Glynn-Carney, Tom Hardy, Barry Keoghan, Jack Lowden, Cillian Murphy and Mark Rylance.
